Teams that hire contractors or temps
Marketing, engineering, operations, retail, logistics, events. Any team with people on 1099s, agency payrolls or a spreadsheet of freelancers.
Client referral program
Know a company that hires contractors, freelancers or temporary staff? Introduce them to WorkGenius. When they reach $100,000 in invoiced spend within their first 12 months, we send you $2,000.
Open to everyone · No cap on referrals · Paid by ACH
Example: a company you referred reaches $100,000 in invoiced spend with WorkGenius inside its 12-month window, and your $2,000 bonus is paid by ACH.
How it works
You make the introduction. We do the selling, the hiring and the paperwork. The bonus is tied to one number that is easy to check: what we invoice them.
Fill in the form below with the company and your contact there. Or make a warm intro yourself: send them a short email and copy us in.
A workforce specialist contacts them within one business day and mentions you by name, unless you ask us not to.
Sourcing, W-2 employment, 1099 contractors, payroll, or all of it. Every invoice counts toward the threshold.
When their invoiced spend reaches $100,000 within 12 months of their first invoice, we send you $2,000 by ACH.
The threshold
Spend is counted on invoice amount, so every billed hour counts, worker pay included. A few typical ways a referral gets there at 40 hours a week.
One contractor
about 8 months
Billed at $75 an hour
Three contractors
about 14 weeks
Each billed at $60 an hour
A seasonal crew of ten
about 6 weeks
Each billed at $40 an hour
Try your own numbers
Reaches $100,000 in about 14 weeks
Bill rates are examples for illustration, not WorkGenius pricing. Timelines assume 40 billed hours per worker per week.
Good referrals
The best referrals are teams that already pay for contingent work and feel the friction: agency markups, multi-state paperwork, a new vendor for every kind of worker.

WorkGenius is the registered employer in all 50 states. A remote hire in a new state needs no entity, no registrations and no new payroll provider.
A former employee, a referral, a contractor they know. WorkGenius employs and pays that person for one all-in markup, with no recruiting fee.
A staffing agency here, a payroll provider there, timesheets in between. One platform and one weekly invoice replaces the stack.
Who can refer
Anyone. Clients, contractors on the platform, consultants, former colleagues, friends. You do not need a WorkGenius account.

The rules
Six things to know before you refer someone. The full program terms have the details.
The company cannot be a current WorkGenius client, and we cannot have had an active conversation with them in the last 12 months. Your referral has to reach us before our first contact.
Everything WorkGenius invoices the referred company counts toward $100,000, worker pay included. Credits and refunds are deducted.
The $100,000 has to be invoiced within 12 months of the company’s first invoice.
One bonus per referred company. No cap on how many companies you refer.
To a US bank account, within 30 days after the end of the month in which the threshold is crossed. We ask for a W-9 and your bank details first.
If two people refer the same company, the earlier referral earns the bonus. WorkGenius employees and the person who signs for the referred company are not eligible.
