Client referral program
The short version is on the referral page: refer a company that is new to us, and when WorkGenius has invoiced them $100,000 within 12 months of their first invoice, we pay you $2,000 by ACH. These terms are the full version.
WorkGenius Holdings, Inc. ("WorkGenius", "we", "us") pays a referral bonus of US $2,000 to a person ("you", the "Referrer") who introduces a new client that meets the conditions in these terms. By submitting a referral, through the form at workgenius.com/refer or by an email introduction that copies WorkGenius, you accept these terms.
Anyone aged 18 or over can take part, with two exceptions: employees and contractors of WorkGenius, and any person who signs, negotiates or approves the referred company’s agreement with WorkGenius.
If you work for the referred company, you are responsible for making sure that your employer’s policies allow you to accept a referral bonus from a vendor.
A referral qualifies when all of the following are true:
If we receive more than one referral for the same company, the earliest qualified referral earns the bonus. WorkGenius decides in good faith whether a referral qualifies and will tell you if it does not.
"Qualifying spend" is the total amount WorkGenius invoices the referred company, including worker pay, markups and fees, less any credits and refunds. Invoices that remain unpaid more than 90 days after their due date do not count until they are paid.
The bonus is earned when qualifying spend reaches US $100,000 within 12 months of the date of the referred company’s first invoice. Spend invoiced after that 12-month window does not count toward the threshold.
The bonus is US $2,000 per qualified referred company, paid once. There is no limit on the number of companies you can refer.
We pay by ACH transfer to a US bank account within 30 days after the end of the calendar month in which the threshold is reached, once we have received your completed Form W-9 (or the applicable Form W-8 for non-US persons) and your bank details. The bonus is not transferable and there is no alternative form of payment.
The bonus is taxable income. You are responsible for any taxes due on it. WorkGenius issues tax forms where required by law.
When you talk about WorkGenius, describe it accurately and do not make promises on our behalf. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, present yourself as a WorkGenius representative, or offer any part of the bonus to the person who signs for the referred company. Referrals made in breach of this section do not qualify.
We use your details and the details of the person you name only to run the program and to contact the referred company. By default we mention your name when we reach out; you can ask us not to on the form. We never share your contact details with the referred company. Our handling of personal data is described in the WorkGenius privacy policy.
We may change or end the program at any time. Referrals submitted before a change are governed by the terms in force when they were submitted, for the full 12-month window of the referred company.
The program is void where prohibited by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Questions about the program go to hello@workgenius.com.
